With the arrival of the global information technology and the network era,high-bandwidth and high-speed network communication gradually integrate into people lives,thanks to this,optical fiber communication technology has made full development。As the core component of optical fiber communication network,optical transceiver module has been more widely used,in order to meet the market and people’s need,high speed and intelligence has become the development direction of the optical transceiver module 。 Thus, optical transceiver module with digital diagnostic function has born,which could monitor the parameters of the optical transceiver module at the real time,this feature greatly simplifies the maintenance of the optical communication system,as well as ensuring the reliability and security of the communication link。Based on the study of the agreements which include SFF-8472 and SFP-MSA,the main works and achievements as follows:(1) The graduation thesis designs a multi-channel SFP optical transceiver module monitoring system,the advantage of it that is practical and scalable。The system uses the 32-bit microcontroller to monitor the parameters(module voltage、temperature、bias current、input/output optical power) of optical transceiver module。In the display、control program design,the graduation thesis uses 26 million color LCD touch screen to display parameters at the real-time and designs a wonderful interactive interface,the person could operate the system functions by taping the touch screen, for example:switching the monitoring channel、entering the information of module、disable/enable the optical transceiver module and so on。In order to monitor multiple optical transceiver module which have the same address at the same time,the graduation thesis uses a multi-machine communication which is based on switching physical channel of communication bus to achieve multi-channel monitoring purposes。(2) In order to verify the feasibility of the monitoring systems in the actual optical communication applications。The graduation thesis designs a communication platform for optical transceiver module。The platform consists of the high-speed Serdes、electrical connector of SFP optical transceiver and parallel interface and so on,and its function is to achieve the conversion between the low-speed parallel signals and high-speed differential signals。Also it designs a four-layer PCB,as well as simulates the parallel signal lines and high-speed differential lines。And built a simple point-to-point optical communication link with platform and optical transceiver module,this makes SFP optical transceiver in a normal and realistic condition。 Parallel signals are converted to optical signals by the communication platform and optical transceiver module,then the optical signals are sent to the receiver by optical fiber,and converted it to the parallel signals。The graduation thesis uses the monitoring system to control the optical transceiver modules which in the optical communication link and gets the module parameters at real time,test results indicate that the monitoring system works stable and the test result is better,as well as reaches the purpose which monitors the parameters。...
