Optical fiber communication has been the important transmission measure in modern information network with the extend of capacity of communication main stem and the increase of speed. Optical transmitter module ,as the core apparatus, promote the main stem transmission and makes networks to be more self-contained and more reasonable. Optical transmiter module is composed of optoelectronic devices, function circuits and optical interfacesIn this paper, 1.3μm-band high speed optical transmitter module is studied. The content include the material growing and chip fabricating technology of 1.3um high speed LD .The driving and controlling circuits, the packaging and assembling technology of LD are studied in this paper. The technology of LD coupling optical fiber is also studied here.We select a new material system, AlGaInAs/InP, to grow 1.3μm high speed LD .The material structure and growing technology of LD are studied. The growing temperature of LD material is found by experiment in this paper. The coulpling of LD and single-mode fiber is studed in this paper. Two schemes of coupling and package are designed. One is using cone-endface-fibers to coupling LD and single-mode fiber, the other is using microlens and GRIN lens package to coupling. The theory models of these two schemes are set up. The technology of these two schemes are analyzed. The high speed package of LD is designed in this paper. The effects of the temperature changing and device aging on output power of LD are analyzed. The driving and controlling circuits and LD high speed matching circuits are designed to make the optical transmitter module woke steadily.
