The fiber channel (FC) technique is a newly network storage switch technique. It not only provides the long-distance connection and high bandwidth but also carries out large data document transmission among memorizes server and customer node. Furthermore, the fiber channel is a kind of industry standard interface, it is used between computer and subcomputer system to transfer information. The optical transceiver works as an interface in fiber channel systems or in optical storage network equipments. It is characterized by small, pluggable and self-diagnoses. However, since it requires integrate optical detector, optical amplifier, optical transmitter, drive and various warning and checking control circuits within a small area, the difficulty increase correspondingly. With data rate up to 1.25Gbps,it is necessary to consider the problem of signal integrity and EMI.The paper is based on the research of layer structure topolopy structure of fiber channel technoque. Research and design a kind of small form-factor pluggable optical transceiver, which has ample bandwidth, stable function, 1.25Gbps velocity of high credibility. Firstly, analyse and compare with different technique schemes, make sure the final scheme. Afterwards, analyse the major chip circuit and key technology of transmitting receiver parts in optical transceiver. Following, optimize the print circuit board using high-speed circuit signal integratlity theories knowledge. At last, adopt the valid test method to test and debug print circuit board, after debugging the result matchs reserved various index.This paper emphasize to research the applied environment of optical transceiver — the structure characteristics of the fiber channel, pointing out its applied advantage.When designing the high speed circuit, consider and bring forward the optimum methods to eliminate refelection, crosstalk and EMI. Especially, analyse the function and principle of decoupling capacitor, dosome simulations on circuit design. The optimum design of signal integrity can be better to keep the quality of signal.1.25Gbps SFP optical transceiver has been applied in various broadband access network and will be applied in backbone networks of ring or daisy-chain topologies. The SFP will replace SIP and GBIC to become the mainstream in the market, it is the necessary trend of the development of optical electric parts.
