The environment of IT is become more and more complicated with the business development of enterprise and the growth of information center. Enterprise can reduce cost and simplifies IT management by using virtualization architecture which is convenient, flexible and efficiency so that the company can put the resources into other developing business.This is why many companies inside and outside begin the transformation of server virtualization. Meanwhile with the increasing need of the monitor management of virtual server, traditional server monitoring software is unsuitable. Although traditional server monitoring software has huge function but in most conditions we need agent or remote login to get the information from monitored virtual machine.To solve above problem this paper introduces the monitoring method of agentless monitoring and management through virtual hosts which combines the popular VMware and Hyper-V architecture. The main research work of this paper can be summarized as follows:1. Monitoring system conducts platform monitoring management by two ways:One is to use vSphere SDK for Perl provided by VMware platform to finish remote control and information getting. Another is to use WMI to connect to the virtual host and get information by Hyper-V WMI classes.2. After analysis of monitoring feature and monitoring needs under virtualization and combine with the advantage of B/S and C/S architecture, this paper puts forward three-tier architecture include information collection, processing and presentation. The monitoring System Consists of a central processing module, monitoring module, information collection module, WEB service module and data storage module. The system uses shared memory to achieve a rapid exchange of data. The data storage process uses a hashing algorithm to segment the historical data which achieves the data in distributed storage and enhances read and write performance. In order to help managers to manage the server which is being monitored, the system use FusionCharts Free to display a graphical monitoring data. And this paper gives method which uses ordinary.least squares to predict system performance.Monitoring system breaks the limitation what traditional monitoring system can only support one virtualization architecture, through the unified monitoring management for two types of virtual platforms. The functional and performance testing also indicates availability and efficiency of the monitor system.
