With the popularization and in-depth use of software applications, enterprise operations and management are increasingly dependent on information systems. However, most enterprise information systems carrier, the data centers are facing a series of challenges like rapid expansion in the amount of data, shortage of space, high operating costs, energy consumption, poor security, low business continuity capabilities and etc..This paper aims to address these issues to help enterprises to prepare for next-generation data center 2.0's arrival. The use of data center virtualization benefits the company in terms of flexibility, high availability, high-continuity, modularity, automation, and many other advantages. VMware Virtual Infrastructure 3 will be applied throughout the program for the purpose of fewer servers, reducing hardware, power, cooling and management costs, which played an exceptional effectiveness in energy-saving and environmental protection.First, we will describe the problems faced by the company, and then after the various server virtualization products comparison, VMware virtualization products are selected as it is able to achieve higher degree of automation and flexibility in a larger system infrastructure to meet the expanding business needs.Next, we describe the deployment of VMware Virtual Infrastructure, using VI client management software for real-time monitoring and management of the ESX servers and virtual machines. We enable VMware DRS to perform load-balancing of the hardware resources, create templates to for ease of deployment of system installation and snapshot feature to restore system to the previous state at the point the snapshots was taken. We will describe the deployment of network systems, use two vSwitches. Each of the vSwitches is associated to at least one physical network adapter on the ESX server for communication between the virtual and physical networks. One of the vSwitch is used to interconnect virtual machine via its virtual adapter, another is used for VMotion and the service console. Finally, we describe the deployment of storage systems; first introducing the use of HP MSA 2000fc for the FC-SAN storage architecture. High Availability (HA) allows virtual machines to be moved using VMotion to other available ESX Servers without having interruption in the event when there is a hardware failure. This reduces the downtime and allows time for the rebuild of the physical hardware.
