South Korean TV variety shows are booming in recent years,and have become one of the most important ways to spread South Korean culture. In2013,Hunan TV station introduced Korean MBC show" I’m a singer" and "daddy where are we going" respectively, causing a trend of variety shows introduced from South Korea on TV. Why can it make such progress, and form a certain cultural influence in China and some Asian countries,how can it undertake the responsibility of spreading national culture, this is the purpose of this article research.South Korean TV variety show spreading widely in our country is the result of various internal and external factors, including common cultural basis, China’s market demand, the global cultural soft power competition, etc. This paper, in the framework of5W, analyses the production process and the cultural transmission process of South Korean TV variety shows, mainly from the communicators, content, and transmission channel. Under the cruel situation in domestic and abroad, the three-class communicators—government, program producers, as well as the host, colaborately intend to produce well-made, interesting programs. In content, the apparent consumption culture combined with implicit national culture, achieves the goal of osmosis affecting the audience. As to transmission channel, the convenience of network opens a new direction, combined with video sites, post bar, subtitle group, BBS and other forms of online communication style. For the audience, South Korea variety shows make themselves funny and elegant, full of friendship, love, and good emotions, passing positive energy. This paper mainly adopts content analysis method, to explore the propagation path and the feature of south Korean television variety show, by watching a large number of the original shows, browsing post bars, collecting online datas, analysing case.At present, some variety shows in our nation lack of depth, just focus on funny-making,even the pursuit of vulgar taste. Through analyzing the propagation path and characteristics of the south Korean TV variety show in our country, we are trying to provide reference for the development of similar programs in China, actively spread the mainstream values.
