Analysis And Lessons From South Korea Variety Show

Variety shows have become the popular entertainment programs which the public like very much for its property of recreation, entertainment, interest, inspiration and for its amazing array of artistic elements. In recent years, the worldwide promotion of electronic technology makes the network video transmission the most popular mainstream media in China audience level. In the Chinese market, the Korean variety shows perform well in Click-through Rate Ranking and even sweep the first top prizes in the entertainment variety show ranking.As for this phenomenon, this paper will make research on the narrative structure of the entertainment programs in China and South Korea and make comparison with each other, taking a Korean music program which is very influential in China as a positive example and an domestic outdoor variety show which is little seen in China as a negative examples. We hope that through these examples we can explain the reason why Korean variety shows can strike a chord with the Chinese audience and learn something from the Korean entertainment production system.The first and the second chapter starts with the way why Korean entertainment culture can settle in China, parsing the Korean cultural staged output. Korea has changed its cultural output center from the TV series to variety shows according to in the development of China’s market. Korea took advantage of the TV series’propagation effects in China and subsidiaries of the value of the surrounding culture, having developed its star effect,and integrated and produced different types of variety shows.And I also made contrast to the status of variety shows in China and South Korea, analyzing and summarizing the lack of type of the domestic variety shows in China.In the third chapter, we discussed some representative Korean variety entertainment progra ms starting from the basic of narrative factor, narrative framework, narrative method, narrative te chnique and narrative style, these five narrative structure elements, and analyzed the very influen tial Korean outdoor variety shows in China. I summerized the analysis of the production features and the advantage factors. Compared with the domestic environment, I disscused the possibility of drawing lessons from Korean variety entertainment programs. In the forth chapter, through the analyze of the production model of another typical Korean variety show--music songs program, I discussed the possible problems that exist when taking so me reference and the strategies when learning from Korean programs, so as to make a new kind of variety show in which our own features are contained.In the last chapter, I summarized the reference of Korean variety shows, namely the advantages of Korean variety show elements, considering all the conditions required. Finally draw a theoretical research direction of follow-up study:in practice, how the study will use theory which is studied to the domestic production model of variety shows, as well as the unknown elements which may appear in practical operation. Such a way of truth-seeking practice has great practical application significance on the production and development of entertainment programs in China.
