China has the largest number of reservoirs in the world, which small reservoirsaccounted for the vast majority, and most of them are located in remote mountain areas. Itis difficult to master the real-time conditions of the reservoirs which rely on the staffregularly patrolled. And it needs to invest a lot of manpower and funds. If applied thedistributed system which wired communication monitoring of reservoir information, therewill be dispersed monitoring points, wiring network structures of large workload andinconvenient maintenance. With the development of communi-cation technology, thecommunication of the wireless access is the best choice for monitoring the information ofthese reservoirs. This project used the equipments which applying ZigBee technical andlow power consumption and low-cost. The designed ZigBee wireless network systemcomposed of between the terminal displayed control equipment and wireless sensor nodeshas strong practicability, wiring system complexity low, simple maintenance, which canwell solve the problem of inconveniently collecting the information of the small reservoirsin remote areas etc..First of all, based on analyzing of ZigBee networking technology, we determined theoverall scheme of the system, selected the system on chip CC2530as the main controllerwhich can implement the ZigBee technology, planning of wireless sensor node andterminal display circuit.Secondly, the designs of the wireless sensor node and terminal display circuit areintroduced in detail. The hardware of the node includes interface circuit, reset circuit withbutton, JTAG interface, LED lights, USB to serial port circuit, power module, theinterfaces of the sensors and signals conditioning circuit of them. The hardware of terminaldisplay circuit includes interface circuit, JTAG interface, LED indicator, STC MCUminimum system, USB to serial circuit, RS232serial interface circuit, power module, andthe interface circuit of the resistive touch screen.Then, according to the design of the hardware and the function of the system, toadding the sensors’s drivers and developing applications in the Z-Stack project template,shows the implementation of constructing whole system network and transmitting datas ofsensor’s collection and the displaying of measurement results.Finally, the overall debugging of the system, and the gradually test to making thesystem’s functions have been implemented efficiently. The established ZigBee networkworks stably. The transmission of data acquisition from node’s sensors are reliable, themeasurement results of which are accurate.
