With the proposed intelligent lighting and green lighting concept, the limitations of traditional street lighting systems are becoming evident. Traditional street lights using timed or manual mode control, only overall control stree lamps on a line can not be performed on a single lamp switch, it can not adjust the brightness of a single street, so it is inability to make flexible control of stree lamps, and we can not achieve the purpose of energy saving. Therefore, find a effective and reliable way to control street lighting system management, not only to meet the control requirements, but also the trend of social development.Zigbee technology is a wireless network communication protocol standard with low-rate, short-distance, which is a low power consumption, large-scale networking, low cost, ad hoc, extensibility is strong, and can quickly detecting network block fault and repairing it, and be widely welcomed.In this paper, chose a high-performance MCU and Zigbee network as one single lamp controller, which has a wireless routing capabilities and very low power consumption. Based on Zigbee wireless technology, each node is configured as routing nodes, supports MESH network topology, has the ability to ad hoc and automatic repair and it is very reliable. In addition, it is able to receive and execute various commands, and feedback the results to the coordinator. This device has independent control capability, can control and manage software synchronization parameters, even off-grid can be automatically controlled.This paper described the technical features of Zigbee, the network topology model, protocol architecture, on the basis of the advantages of LED lights controllable and easy to control, lamps control system based on Zigbee and LED technology was proposed, the entire program, including hardware design and software design. The hardware includes TI’s CC2530SoC detailed description, as well as the power supply circuit, serial circuit, LED driver circuit, antenna and GPRS module design and description. Software part is based on IAR development environment and introducted Z-Stack protocol, Zigbee network, centralized controller construction a network,the workflow of a single lamp controller add to the network. Finally, based on B/S and C/S consisted LAN networking and combine software design display interface wich is based on Visaul C++, developed a monitoring and management software, achieve remote network access and control functions.
