With the advent of the information age, the technology of wireless sensor network has developed rapidly. ZigBee is a kind of wireless communication technologies, which is based on the IEEE802.15.4standard and has the characteristics of low power consumption, low cost, short distance, high reliability. The wireless sensor network which is based on802.15.4standard, improves the reliability of data transmission and reduces the field wiring problems. And the wireless sensor network, which is also very convenient for the management of nodes whose price is very cheap, has great prospects for development in the social life.This study is focused on the monitoring of relative humidity and temperature in the switch cabinet, and has researched the temperature and humidity monitoring system based on ZigBee technology in switch cabinet. At first, this paper introduces the development of wireless sensor network, and then analyzes the ZigBee technology and its application. And the paper designs the temperature and humidity monitoring system scheme for electrical cabinets, then each node of the hardware and software are designed, and finally we have tested. The acquisition node of system using SOC solution of single chip, which is combined with the main control chip CC2530and SHT10of the temperature and humidity sensor, truly realizes low power consumption, low cost characteristics. In the node hardware design, it mainly includes the design of serial interface, the design of power module, the design of JTAG interface, the design of antenna and balun matching circuit. The software programming uses the IAR integrated development environment, and the software design mainly has the sensor node collecting program, the routing node program and the coordinator node program. After the transplantation of ZigBee protocol stack and the coordinator establishing network, the terminal nodes join the network. At first, the terminal nodes acquire temperature and humidity data, and then through the ZigBee protocol to send data to the coordinator, then the coordinator sends the data to the host computer. AT last, manager could instantly view the data information in the host computer interface.Through the experimental tests and validation, the system runs well and it can accurately measure the data of the temperature and humidity under the environment of strong electromagnetic interference. Compared with traditional wired measurement, terminal node is easy to be installed in the switch cabinet, which is very good solution to the convenience of communication and measurement problems.
