With the development of the time and technology, lighting system related to people’s daily lives is becoming increasingly intelligent. Communication of the conventional lighting control system is terminal to terminal and system’s cabling is very difficult. Intelligent lighting system using the fieldbus has achieved distributed control for local lighting control system whithin a small range, but it has a low degree of openness and the system is even closed. To realize remote monitoring and information sharing towards local lighting control system, a kind of networked intelligent lighting control system is designed.Networked intelligent lighting control system can connect local lighting control system to Ethernet through an intelligent gateway. In order to meet the needs of intelligent control and networked control for classroom’s lighting control system in teaching buildings of university, we design an intelligent gateway which has the function of converting protocol between Ethernet and CAN and design a terminal node which has intelligent control function, and terminal node networking with CAN can be connected to Ethernet through an intelligent gateway, so terminal node can be configured and remote controlled and at the same time data can be shared. The work of this paper includes the design of overall program. As for the hardware, hardware circuit design of the terminal node and intelligent gateway are completed. As for the software, CAN module’s driver and Ethernet’s driver are completed, LwIP protocol is transplanted and Ethernet’s application layer protocol of the intelligent gateway and CAN-bus’s application layer protocol are designed according to iCAN standard protocol. The hardware and software of the intelligent gateway are debugged at last, and the result shows that the intelligent gateway realized transparent transmission of CAN protocol and Ethernet protocol. Related work laid the foundation for complete design and implementation of teaching buildings’s networked intelligent lighting control system, and it also has some reference value to other remote control application.
