At present, the level of rotor spinning machine of China is behind in the world. Independently developed the suitable for automatic rotor spinning machine as soon as possible become current primary task for Chinese Textile Machinery Enterprises. This topic is derived from one automatic rotor spinning machine research and development projects of HONGDA RESEARCH INSTITUTE CO., LTD, and we mainly complete the design of automatic control system of rotor spinning machine.This paper is focus on studying and designing automatic rotor spinning machine control system which is base on CAN bus and industrial Ethernet. Firstly, the automatic rotor spinning control system that employs the idea of distributed control. This whole control system is divided into six functional modules, and there is a processor in each module to complete the control about each sub control system. Secondly, the control system uses a double-deck structures, the lower is the scene layer. The scene equipments will be linked up by CAN and will design CAN intelligent control node which is own of communication, monitoring and control functions. On the basis of research and analysis CANopen protocol deeply, we realized the communications protocols which is based on the embedded CANopen sub-nodes, greatly improving communication and control capability on the intelligent node in the field bus. The upper is control layer which uses Ethernet of TCP/IP protocol to carry out communications. Use the star topology structure, various control systems will be linked through hubs. Thirdly, in view of between field bus and industrial Ethernet network can't transform information directly, the controller of each sub-control system designed embedded controller gateway whose main processor finish that drives Ethernet controller and CAN controller, transceiver data, and control subsystem operation. On the basis of analysis and study of TCP/IP protocol, according to the characteristics of the Embedded Systems has simplified TCP/IP protocol, and has achieved the 8/16 bit embedded systems lightweight TCP/IP protocol in the embedded gateway, meanwhile, has achieved a CANopen master node communication protocol. Through the preparation of software, has achieved conversion functions between TCP/IP protocol and CANopen protocol, and has achived the heterogeneous network without every link.
