With the development of society, the use of natural gas is more and more widely. Natural gas is not only a kind of clean energy, it is also a high-quality chemical raw materials. Compared with other energy sources, it has obvious advantages, such as clean, economic, convenient, and extensive use, therefore, the natural gas treatment is particularly important. Gas compressor is important equipment for processing of natural gas, it can deal with the effective recovery of natural gas by using their own gas expansion energy. But the gas compressor unit in the high strength high pressure environment, and aided process and control units are very complex, so the requirement for automatic control system not only has high reliability, but also strong control ability, fast reaction speed.On the hardware design, the OMRON Corporation CP1H series programmable device as the main controller, and design a series of peripherals. Include power, memory, LCD display, communication, human-computer interaction and so on. On the software design, combine the advantage of the ladder and flowcharts, the unit load, unload, start, stop, and other processes are designed, reaching the desired results.Using the touch screen and the host computer can realize remote control and field operation of unit, increases the system control diversity. This design makes full use of PLC high reliability, simple programming features for applications to meet the control requirements, the cost is greatly reduced, and the system stability quickly and accurately in the system running after the correct.
