The Schedule Risk Management Of Server Development Project

The Server is submitted to the network of the client computer in the network environment, is the high performance computer, which provides the corresponding services for the request from client servers. The schedule risk is one of the most critical risks in Server development stage, is the foundation of uncertain schedule risk in Server development project. The research and publications on risk management at home and abroad focus on the new product development project, engineering project and software development project and etc mainly, not too much reference data on schedule risks management. Moreover, almost no research on risk management, or schedule risk management for Server development project.In this thesis, the research object is Server development project schedule risk, the ultimate goal is achieve how to do the schedule risk management on Server development projects. To identify, analyze the schedule risk by comprehensive use of various methods of project management, then get schedule risk control proposals accordingly. The main work included below four portions.i) Summarized the characteristic of Server development project schedule risk management. According to the Server project development characteristics, process as well schedule management model, then conclude the characteristics of schedule risk management in Server development project. More sensitive for the development schedule, more uncertain factors, more obvious for multi task feature, further prominent for information reverse asymmetry, and better cross team collaboration required.ii) Identify and analyze the impact of key schedule risk factors in Server project development. Considering the characteristics of Server development project schedule risk, design the questionnaire, and loop up the reference data, interview and questionnaire survey, then indentify and establish the Server development project schedule risk list, get33schedule risk factors. Next is to qualitative and quantitative analysis of schedule risk factors by probabilistic risk assessment matrix and AHP method, in order to determine weight assignment and set up Server development project schedule risk assessment index system. iii) Put forward the new idea on Server development project schedule risk management. Firstly is to apply critical chain schedule risk technology to manage Server development project schedule risk. Secondly is to combine schedule risk factors via critical chain method into project planning and control.
