The research on traditional assembly line theory can’t meet enterprise’scontinuous development requirement in rapidly changing market environment,and manufacturers didn’t pay enough effort on research of equipment andfacilities utilization, thus how to minimize the inventory of semi-finish goods toimprove line efficiency become a serious problem deserving solution. Balancerate can quantify reflect the equipment utilization and production line capability,and is widely used as a representative of the level of assembly line balancing.Through analyzing product R current situation of the assembly line balancewe found some problems such as obvious bottleneck, poor utilization of humanand improper operation arrangement, etc which lead to low balancing rate ofoverall production line. To solve these problems, first, re-define the man-hourchange frequency base on the study of learning curve; then re-measure workinghours by using statistic method of x-σ (mean and standard deviation) to clearunderstand current production line beat and capacity; finally, use ECRS(Eliminate, Combine, Rearrange, Simplify) and man-machine analysis method toincrease the capacity on stations such as de-panel, under fill, static bag sealing,screwing, packing, test etc..Both of the assembly line balance rate and production capacity increasedabout190%after finished all those improvements. It also saves the cost ofmanpower and equipments simultaneously.
