With the development of electronic technology, electronic products, especially mobile products continue to miniaturization, lightweight development, dispensing technology is more and more widely and the technical requirements of dispensing technology are more stringent. In order to meet the growing market demand and product process demand, Many enterprises set up dispensing production line. More and more enterprises pay attention to how to improve the efficiency of production line and eliminating unnecessary waste. Owing to Line balance can well reflect the production line situation. Many enterprises solve the problem of low efficiency of the production line and waste serious.base on the production line balance theoryIn this thesis, author makes use of production line balance theory to improve dispending production line. The bottleneck workstation (dispensing workstation and inspenction workstation after dispensing) are finded out throught production line balance analysis.Dispensing workstation is a man-machine operator station, it is a certain difficult to improve the time of man-machine operator station. First, author find out the factors of influencing equipment operator time and put forward the feasible scheme through "5W1H "questioning techniques Then, author applies Analytic Hierarchy Process method to select two appropriate schemes:dispensing machine parameter optimization scheme and dispensing path optimization scheme. After that, we solve the problem of dispensing machine by Taguchi method, overcom the problem of dispensing path optimization by Tabu search algorithm. Finanlly, dispensing workstation is further improved by man-machine operator analysis. After above improvement, dispensing workstation achieve remarkable effect. Inspection workstation is mainly by visual inspection. Visual inspection is only one action, so inspection workstation optimization can not be carried out through the traditional method. Need to according to the inspection content to improvement. First, author adopts work breakdown method、MOD method analyse inspection content, makes clear the probability of inspection content appears in each element accord to the actual production data; finds out no adverse element; Then, no adverse element’s process capability is judged by Process Capability index. Acoored to the result of no adverse element’s process capability, author cancels the high process capability element. Considering dispensing machine can not damage element Therefore, author determines the error hand operation method and bad dispensing fixtures might lead to element damage through the field observation. After that author adopts the scatter diagram, correlation analysis, significant test to determine the real reason of element damaged is bad dispensing fixtures. Thus, author redesign new dispensing fixture to slove the problem of element damaged. Putting new dispensing fixture into practice, no adverse appear, so author cancels the element damage inspection. Finanlly, in order to ensure the inspection workstation operator work efficiency, author designs new inspection fixtures and develop new visual methods to reduce operator fatigue.Research shows that the production line balance improvement can reduce the cycle time of dispensing production line, balancing the work station time. After improvement, the dispensing glue production line balancing rate rose from 81.42% to 92.91%, capacity increased by 31% than before. It can be said that the application of the production line balance in F company has achieved remarkable result.
