After decades of development, the traditional teaching mode of behaviorism,based on the industrial age, has had a profound impact on the education worldwide,and plays an active role in promoting the social development. When the advent of theinformation age, the teaching relationship changed radically, autonomous learningmodel of constructivism began to rise in the western education circles, and becomesthe theoretical basis of cultivating innovative talents in the new period. In China’scolleges and universities,3D software course follows the traditional teaching mode,therefore, it has not adapted to the demands of the personnel training in the new era.Meanwhile, the existing teaching technology has certain limitations, and students’learning initiative and efficiency has not been fully developed in the practicalteaching.Using the theory of autonomous learning based on interactive multimediatechnology to cultivate the students’ autonomous learning ability as the goal, throughthe innovation of teaching methods of3D software course, helps to improve thestudents’ learning efficiency and overall quality. The main content of this paper is afeasibility study on the use of multimedia technology research and development "3dsMax material making technology" autonomous learning system as well as the specificdesign, development and implementation method.This paper mainly uses the methods of the literature research, the theoreticalanalysis and practical design of experience summary to study the feasibility ofmultimedia technology applied in3ds Max material production technology curriculumteaching and the actual effect that can be achieved, and the specific applicationmethod of multimedia technology in the development of learning system as well asthe method of realizing multimedia interactive function in virtual practice process andcase practice. It is to research on how to effectively use multimedia to create goodstructure, and scientific and interesting learning environment in order to improve thestudents’ learning interest and efficiency. At the same time, to create autonomouslearning system requires a lot of software and related knowledge. This paper makes abrief introduction of the related software and its technical characteristics, functionsand application methods. This learning system is quite different from the commonteaching courseware, which will be handed over to the students, and helps students torealize autonomous knowledge construction with classroom teaching activities.The students’ feedback after use provides the basis for the further improvementof the system. The conclusion of this paper is that multimedia technology can developlearning software in a convenient and intuitive way, assist teachers in the classroom teaching, cultivate the students’ autonomous learning ability through the students’independent choice of learning content and learning progress, overcome theshortcomings in traditional teaching, and achieve better learning effect and providenew ideas for3D course teaching reform.
