In resent years, with the popularization of computer, not only have the multimedia and network technologies been quickly developed, the numbers of computer-aided teaching and learning software is also increasing rapidly. But their qualities are really bothering. One of the main reasons that cause bad qualities to all kinds of teaching-aided software is a lack of learning theories. Nowadays, a great deal of computer-aided teaching software depends on experiences in their development, not on scientific knowledge. As to the design and development of multimedia software, much more attention is paid to the updating of developing tools but not to the theoretical instruction. The side-effect is the deviation of teaching theory and practice. All kinds of micro teaching and learning strategies are not fully effective in multi-software also. To make a change, this essay tries to carry out some research work on the design and development of multimedia learning software with the instruction of constructivism theory. The method used is promoting students to study independently out of the "Micro-Computer Principle" textbook.First, the paper analysis the present conditions of multimedia learning software on the markets and in the network and finds out the main problems; then, give enlightenment to the design and development of multimedia learning software. In the end, the paper designs a software including one unit of "Micro-computer principle" to provide explanations to the theories and methods used in it.
