| With the development of education reform, under the new educationsystem, and especially with the application of the credit system, teachingmanagement becomes more complex and onerous as the number of studentshas increased. As the database systems in universities become more complexand the amount of data increases as well, how to make teaching managementmore convenient, modular and informational is the focus of the developmentof universities. There is an urgent need to develop a teaching managementsoftware, which can build a high technological, efficient, stable, safe andreliable teaching management information system.Through systematic analysis on teaching management systems ofseveral domestic universities, this paper thereby found the existing problemsin current teaching management system: the system can’t support new talenttraining mode; the key teaching running segment can’t adapt to new changesand situations; the teaching information service lacks choices, contents, andquality; the elective system is out of date, and it can’t breakthrough the limitof the performance of selecting classes; there are conflicts between theclasses management system and the exam system, there is no standard andspecification of the systems, and there are problems in sharing data.Thispaper points out the necessity of developing a new teaching managementsystem. It means that the teaching management system should follownational standards and industry standards, and its data structures and datacontents should be standardized. It can guarantee that information and datacan be shared within the system, it is conducive to the upgrade andmaintenance of the system, and it can serve for various innovative talenttraining modes and serve for active information service mode. This paperalso discusses about the technologies and performance requirements of theteaching management system.This paper optimizes the teaching management system through the enrollment management subsystem, the teaching management subsystem, theteaching evaluation subsystem, the new system modules, and theimprovement of system performance and security. It detailedly designs allmodules in the optimization plan of the teaching management system, and itworks out a teaching management system which can adapt to the currenteducation reforms and can fully support the credit system. Finally it putsforwards implementing measures of the optimization plan of the teachingmanagement system through the aspects of the organization andimplementation specifications of projects, the management and qualitycontrol of projects, the testing and operation of projects, and technicalsupporting services to projects. |
