Since the Decision of the State Council on Vigorously Promoting the Reform and Development of Vocational Education was issued by the State Council on 2002, governments at all levels have attached high importance to vocational education and also have constantly increased the improvement in vocational education. With the economical restructuring, transformation and upgrading in our country, there have been increasingly higher requirements for talents, and the professional skills of those graduates from secondary vocational schools need to fit enterprise positions. For this reason, secondary vocation schools need to reform the original talent training mode, spare no effort to push forward teaching mode reform and information construction, and realize a transformation from the traditional indoctrination teaching mode to a teaching mode of apprenticeship/tutor system. To bring the advanced project teaching mode into full use in vocational schools, a teaching project management software system is needed in vocational schools. At present, there are plenty of researches on software systems operating under common teaching modes, and yet little research and development has been done on the project teaching-based management system for vocational education, and in particular, systems that coincide with the actual conditions of a school are hardly seen.The present paper offers a detailed analysis of some theories related to the project teaching of secondary vocational schools, in an effort to apply school project teaching to this design process in an effective way. A software system that integrates the following practical function modules is developed, including a teaching project management module, a progress management module, a project resource accumulation module, an auxiliary teaching module, a user management module and a common management module. ASP.NET and C# Language are used to realize the functions of the system, and a safe, stable and reliable SQL SERVER database system is used as the system background. It can be seen that the teaching project management system for secondary vocational schools effectively achieves the purpose of management for discipline project teaching, so as to increase the quality of teaching in relevant disciplines. This paper can be used as a useful example when it comes to effective innovation of the teaching mode and expansion of teaching approaches and methods in other secondary vocational schools.
