In the environment of all media age, city TV station competition in the TV field and implosion is increasingly intense. On one hand, it is confronted with the extrusion and driven forces of "air force" by CCTV and provincial TV group, on the other hand, it is also entrusted with the era of media integration and reconstruction transformation mission. With various problems and contradictions exposed constantly in the current competition in the media environment, Nanning TV station, which is a west underdeveloped area of city TV station, ratings and advertising revenues appear declining trend year by year. How to get better in the future survival and development become the important problem presses for solution. Based on management and cross of journalism and communication media management related theory, media core competitiveness theory provides a new train of thought and theoretical guidance for exploring the future development strategy for Nanning TV station.Based on Nanning TV station as the research object from the Angle of the city TV station core competitiveness, this paper discussed how to personalize the core competitiveness of profound proposition under the background of media convergence city TV station. Through to the Nanning TV station core resources and core competence factors with specific analysis, several approaches are recommended for promoting joint Nanning TV station core competitiveness and measures:Nanning TV station need to gather business elite, amass its talent, build brand columns, enlarge influence, clear channel positioning, make its characteristic, promote media mergence, adapt to the trend of The Times. At the same time it need to highlight the characteristics of local culture and cultural characteristics of southeast Asia, and make its regional culture identity more distinct, perfect internal management, strengthen technology innovation, extend the industrial chain, expand market operation, etc. I hope that it can provide certain thinking and reference for the sustainable development of Nanning TV station, and a certain theoretical reference for the development of domestic urban TV stations practice at the same time, especially the west similar city TV station.
