With the development of economy, people s living standard has been greatlyincreased. And people’s material needs continue to be met. And then, peopleincreasing the demand for spiritual culture, meanwhile, it s also promoting thedevelopment of scientific and technological.3D TV is in such impetus, technologicaladvances, product updates. However, with the continuous development of3D TV,3Dvideo scarcity issues become increasingly prominent and hindering the developmentof3D TV. With the2D to3D technology is getting mature, it Promote thedevelopment of3D TV.In this paper, It mainly introduces the design principle of3D TV and2D to3Dprocess. The main work can be summarized as follows:This paper carries on outline to describe the research background at first;Analysis the current situation of3D TV market at home and abroad, and pointed outthe scarcity of3D video have restricting the development of3D TV. So, it is importantto development the2D to3D conversion function.Secondly, starting from the display principle of the LCD, and then, explain thebasic principles of3D imaging and3D applications on the television displaytechnology. I have also compared several commonly used technologies. In the overallsystem design, first have described the main solutions for the3D TV and thendescribe part of the main circuit design; I have also presents the design specificationrequirement of3D design module, to guide follow-up work. In2D to3D moduleintroduction, describes two more crucial tasks of the generation of3D video: togenerate a depth map and the drawing process based on the depth map. The designfocused on the2D to3D conversion process to realization of each function, andaccording to the validation documentation to tests each function, various functions areproven to meet the requirements. In the last part, particular describe the important parameters of LCD TVs: GAMMA s Commissioning principle and debuggingprocess.The theoretical derivation and design and realize of this paper provide therealistic basis for the research and promotion of3D technology, has a certainreference value for the2D to3D System s design and evaluation of3D TV.
