This paper introduces the Design and Implementation of a new PatternedRetarder/Shutter Glasses3D LCD system. By combining traditional PatternedRetarder with Shutter Glasses3D LCD,this system can improve the display effect of3D LCD.First of all, this paper introduces research background, development and currentstatus at home and abroad related to3D TV, the work of this paper and organizationstructure. The second chapter describes the imaging theory of3D TV, including theglasses type and open type3D display technology, then compares the advantages anddisadvantages of various3D display technologies.The third chapter and the fourth chapter are the key content of this paper. Thethird chapter describes the knowledge of the LCD, which focuses on the LCDresponse characteristics and driving principle, these have a larger impact on the3Dimage display. The fourth chapter describes the design of a new PatternedRetarder/Shutter Glasses3D LCD system and introduces each function moduleincluding image processing module, LCD driver modules, backlight control moduleand glasses modules. It has two innovative designs. The first is in the imageprocessing module to the innovative mode of image processing of interlaced blackprocessing. The second is in the glasses module Polarized glasses and shutter glassesintegrated. The two innovative designs improve the visualization of3D displaysystem to a large extent.The fifth chapter describes each3D indicators test including measurementcrosstalk, brightness of3D, viewing angle and other relevant data, and makes anobjective evaluation of the system on this basis.The results of this paper lays the foundation for further study of display effect optimization of glasses3D technology and has the good economic efficiency andwide prospect of market.
