With the rapid development of flat panel display technology,3D liquid crystaldisplay technology has become one of the indispensable application technology inthe field of flat panel display. As a subversive revolution of flat panel displaytechnology,3D TV won the overwhelming majority consumers’ agree with itsstrong visual experience and high impact picture, to become a major bright spot onthe consume market. Especially the shutter glasses3D TV wins the favors ofconsumers by its full HD real display, lower-cost liquid crystal module,2D effectis not affected,better3D’s effect etc than its competitors. The paper designs a new3D liquid crystal display system, and optimizes the display effect from the aspectsof image quality, etc.Firstly, this paper analyzes the current status of domestic and foreign TVmarket sales, the next generation of LCD TV trend and consumers’ attitude on thistrend, from this we can see that3D liquid crystal display has been a trend whichcannot be halted. To push the rapid development of3D TV, the national policy alsoactively support the development of3D industry, and lead by CCTV, combinedwith the radio and TV stations opened a3D TV channel.Secondly, it introduces the principle of3D liquid crystal display on the basicsof liquid crystal display, and analyzes the implementation principle, advantagesand disadvantages of various techniques between various3D display technologies.Thirdly, this paper designs a new3D LCD TV system. Circuit, TCON ICintegrates3D image process, OD process and timing signal control, realizes thedisplay of high quality3D effect on the low-end of120HZ LCD with3D variableclock technology. It realizes3D display function in the premise of maintain the original3D effects in ordinary2D LCD screen, therefore reducing the cost.Backlight control, the odd backlight model district control lay a good foundationfor optimization design of3D effect.Finally, it compares the effect with3D LCD TV system designed in the paperand3D LCD TV traditional. The test shows that the3D LCD TV system designedin the paper is obviously improved in the brightness, crosstalk and other objectiveindicators.
