QR code has been widely used in life, QR Code application was saw everywhere in daily lifesuch as packaging of commodity, train tickets, Phone-based QR Code scan applications and so on.As an information acquisition and processing technology, QR code recognition technology cangreatly improve the speed of information collection, it can be predicted that many existing deviceswill need to support the identification of QR code, thus design a QR code identification systemwhich has advantages of low-cost, speed and extensibility has great practical significance. For these purposes, firstly, study identify algorithm and processes of QR code based on theimage processing and QR code symbology, study the achieve of identify algorithm based on SOPCand FPGA; Secondly, Proposed an architecture of identification system based on SOPC, thefunctional unit of the system has been divided, and the identify algorithm is divided into hardwareachieve part and software achieve part reasonably, image acquisition and pre-processingimplemented by hardware that improves the speed of image processing greatly, the QR codesymbol decoding implemented by software based on Nios II processor that improves the flexibilityof decoding and reduces the difficulty of the algorithm implementation; Finally, give the completeimplementation of the identification system which divide into hardware system and softwaresystem based on NiosII processor. The hardware system includes Nios II processor, imageacquisition unit, display control unit, image pre-processing unit, DMA interface unit, etc. Thesoftware system includes camera configuration, LCD drive, DMA control, QR code symboldecoding, etc.In the end, each unit of identification system was tested based on QRCommAssit which isPC-based and designed for debugging the identification system. The results show that theidentification system is practicable and has good space for development in cost, speed ofrecognition and extensibility.
