Digital audio product is one of important and fashionable elements in modern life,the market demands of it will be more and more large along with the development of economy and improvement of living standard.But the carrier objects of the digital audio file are variable from kinds to kinds,therefore,how to realize the audio playing system with high-quality and multi-function thatbecomes one of the heat subjects in consumptive-electron field now.Hardware/software Codesign is a new design methodology; it is the integration of specification, synthesis and simulation of hardware and software with unified design tools. By using hardware/software code sign, the design cycle can be shortened and design efficiency can be improved. On the other hand, designers can choose hardware or software implication method for system functions according the characteristic of function and the design constraints, in order to achieve high performance, low cost design.In this thesis,researches are conducted on Nios II soft-core processor system produced by Altera Corporation.Nios II system is one of the most widely adopted programmable on-chip system architectures.The Music Player based on a soft core processor has a control center with a Nios II.SOPC (System on Programmable Chip) is SOPC based on PLD.The Nios II embedded processor is a soft core CPU optimized for Altera programmable logic devices and system-on-a-programmable chip (SOPC) integration. Is a configurable, general-purpose RISC processor that can be combined with user logic and programmed into an Altera programmable logic device (PLD).The thesis discuss Hardware Software co-design,IP core's reuse of SOPC , analyzes the theory and the decoding arithmetic of MPEG Layer 3.the Nios based hardware/software codesign and partition theory was practiced through a case name MP3 player based Nios II,and IP reuse is concerned. This paper presents the architecture, theory of Nios II and a ways of file management was presents in this case.This thesis Emphasize on the following key techniques in hardware/software codesign and hardware/software partition based on Nios II, the author conclusion and point out the evolution aspect...
