SOPC (System on a Programmable Chip), It is flexibility and efficiency of use designed by the Altera. It is a new kind of system technology with software and hardware design. It makes the modulers like the cpu, the memory and the I/Oimport integrated into the FPGA device. The Nios Ⅱ cpu is the most typical embedded software processor. The SOPC system is matched with rich integrated peripherals. The users can make up different intelligent systems. So it is widely used in the area of the communication, the house electrical appliances and the industry control.This article is based on the purpose of designing and developing SOPC test for higher vocational education. It is mainly for the electricity class,discusses the way for designing and developing SOPC test. The test is based on NiosⅡ. The test uses the Altera Cyclone Ⅱ line’s chip-EP2C35F672as the core chip. This article discusses the followed contents:1. The first chapter briefly introducese the background, the study aim and the internationnal situation about the SOPC technology.2. The second chapter discusses the overal paln of design for the SOPC test. The design is pertinencily about the power supply circuit,the clock circuit and some configurations,like the key,the LED,the Nixie light,the motor drive and so on.3. The third chapter introduces the structure and characteristics of the SOPC system,dicusses the way how to use the software of Quartus,SOPC Builder rools and the Software Development Environment in Nios Ⅱ IDE.4. The forth chapter analyses the designation of the SOPC system based on NiosⅡ. The DC motor with digital PID speed control is the keynote. There are detailed analysis about the way for speed control, about the way how to achieve the digital PID speed control, and about the software and hardware of the digital PID speed control. And at the same time,they are proved feasibly by emulating and testing. It lists goodness of the SOPC system in comparison with other systems.By researching, the article develops the new way for EDA teaching about SOPC test. It can fully face the electricity class for their experimental and practical teaching. The students can understand and be familiar with the SOPC technology quickly by this test.
