| There have been several phrases since sports news appeared in China. After1949, sportsnews media considered propaganda as their main responsibility and processes and results ofdifferent games were the main contents of sports news then. From the reform and opening upon, commodity economy revives. With many other factors, this led to a further developmentof China’s sports news and related media. Propaganda is never the main concern of the sportsnews nowadays.Sports news media and its reports have reached great achievement since1979. However,those are followed by many problems which are effected by the massification of China’ssports news media.We discuss three main problems existing in the reports of sports news todayexcessive entertainment, lack of humanity concern and false sports news.The excessive entertainment of sports news results in the undermining of sports news’authority, invasion of many sports stars’ privacy, even leading to the low taste andpornography of sports news. In the long term, that will do harm to China’s sports news andrelated media.Lacking of humanities concerns is another problem. Journalists and reports of China’ssports news media pay too much attention to the top players and several games which are themost popular ones among the public, ignoring common players and mass sports. In addition,there are many improper words in many reports.False news will also be analyzed with several cases in this article.The article also tries to analyze the reasons which cause these problems and thecountermeasures to solute these problems. |
