The Image Of Junior Middle School Students In News Reports

News reports are an important part of the information environment built bymass media.The representation of one group of the society may manifest theideology established by news reports.It forms a pseudo-environment by contactingwith the audience,so this kind of representation may influent the audience’sperception of the group.In recent years,with the deepening of the reform of educationsystem, as well as changes in the environment education, the discussion of students’problems has been the focus of media attention because students carry the future offamily and country.While to junior middle school students who are in the “dangerousperiod” of their life,since they enter puberty early or late,and accelerate thedevelopment of body and mind,this stage become the critical period and the besttime of education,so they are great significance in how to focus on and deal with theproblems correctly existing in junior middle school students.With the analysis tonews texts,this paper conducts an in-depth study and the overall description on newsimage of junior middle school students through the concrete analysis and datastatistics of the news,and reveal the problems of the media when reporting juniormiddle school students,then try to give some advice.Through the analysis and study on the news of junior middle school students in16months,this paper find that six kinds of typical figures are portrayed in newsreports in image-making of junior middle school students: the news of socialpractice and public welfare activities set up a typical positive image of junior middleschool students,accident victims news shows the weak image of junior middle schoolstudents,they are positive and negative in learning news,the news of violations oflaw highlight the negative image of junior middle school students,we see therebellious image of junior middle school students through the news of running awayfrom home and suicide news reinforces the negative image of them，and discoverthat junior middle school students in the news report is given the negative imagepriority from the description of the whole image of the students,reasons I find causejunior middle school students more negative image in news reports are the mediatendency and the media properties.The last,I suggest that the media personnel shouldstrengthen professional quality education,increase self-discipline,meanwhilemanifest the humanities concern, and conform to the requirements of the times in thenews reports that junior middle school students are taken as the object forpresentation image of junior middle school students rationally,and guiding publicopinion correctly,and playing social responsibility as news media.
