The Research On Document And Information Resources Management Capacity For Regional Medical Colleges And Universities

ObjectiveThe paper analyzed the core factors of the library document and information resource management on the local medical colleges and universities, which explored and analyzed the current resources management capabilities of libraries so that in order to set up a series of evaluation index system on the resources for the local medical colleges and universities. Besides, it deepen studied the object for further empirical research.ObjectsThe investigate objects are the management level of medical colleges and universities document information resources, and the empirical research samples are6local medical college libraries which are located in western and central regions in China.The Sources1. Getting the exact position investigation for information obtaining;2. Some relevant local medical library of universities and the medical information departments’websites;3. The raw data from the local medical library of universities or the medical information management department that be listed as the research object.Methods1. To use the methods of document survey, expert interviews, data retrieval, it is analysised the level of entity management mode, set the basic parameters, and establish on the whole index system step by step;2. To use the methods of Delphi for the indicators filtering, then set the followed indicators weight at the weighted method;3. To use the software of SPSS16.0and Excel2007so that testing the whole indicators weight of the validity and the reliability. Besides, it takes the overall analysis through indicators system toward empirical study object, and takes the comprehensive score for research object at last. Results1. It set the management level evaluation system for document information resources of the local medical colleges and universities.To set2rounds experts consultation and experts feedback this used Delphi method, it filtered and analysised all indicators, and confirmed the system finally. According to the former document investigation and experts’opinions, we set the parameters as assignment>3.50, the standard deviation<0.25and the full marks rate≥0.10,then combined with expert advice and recommendations to delete the beginning of proposed indicators do not meet the standard indicators, which are all belong the third ranks indicators. After based on the actual phenomenon amendments to the index system, the second round of expert questionnaire was come to be realized. After2rounds of expert consultation that all experts reached consistent agreement on the index system, which set the result as4level-1ST indicators,15level-2ND indicators and44level-3RD indicators to formed the overall index system.2. According to the document and information resource management of local medical colleges and universities, set the Weighted method to determine the weight of each index in the evaluation index system.Firstly, calculating the importance of indicators at the level of a number of differences points and take the consistency inspection. Secondly, it calculated the whole distributed scale, created data by the Weighted method, The weights of the first-level index described as0.265、0.278、0.232、0.225. At last, taking the probability multiplication principle to draw level-1, level-2and level-3indicators combined weights of the whole index system.3. The assessment and application on document and information resource management of the local medical colleges and universities.The evaluation index system was proved that it has good quantity in reliability and validity though the reliability and validity analysis. The paper evaluated all the targets based on the sequence from3RD layer to1ST layer by the Weighted method so that the investigation get the final comprehensive evaluation score. The Overall evaluation ordering result as object C,object D,object B,object B,object A,object F,object E. The empirical research shows that there are many obvious gaps exist among6colleges and universities in document information resources management; therefore those comprehensive services need high improvement definitely.Conclusion1. According to document information resources of local medical schools to establish the management level evaluation index system; the designation is both reasonable and can be applied in a wider scope, which has a credible statistical results.2. The empirical research shows that he evaluation index system has high reliability results and better Feasibility.New points of view in the study1. For the first time to create the basic database of the library document information resources of local medical universities and colleges;2. For the first time to create the model of management level evaluation which of index system evaluation toward library information resource of the local medical universities and colleges. Besides, it filled the blank of the domestic document information resources management in the evaluation investigation.Ideas of further study1. Collection the data from library of medical universities and colleges so that continue improve complete basic database;2. Increasing the number of elements of the evaluation scientifically toward research object.
