ObjectiveThe paper understands the basic status of resilience, social support and working stress in the clinical nurses, analyses the influencing factors and interaction among them, and explores intervention mechanism of resilience for clinical nurses. Finally, it can provide reference for hospital managers to master the health status of clinical nurses, balance working and physical and mental development and improve nursing work efficiency.MethodsThe study used a cross-sectional survey. A questionnaire survey was conducted by clinical nurses who came from three first-class hospitals in Lanzhou and two first-class hospitals in Jinzhou. Structured questionnaires included demographic data questionnaire, the Nurse Working Stressor Scale, the Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale(CD-RISC) and Social Support Rating Scale(SSRS). SPSS19.0 statistical software was applied to collect and analyse date. The main methods consist of descriptive statistical analysis, one-way ANOVA, independent sample t test, partial correlation analysis and hierarchical regression.Results1. The total average score of resilience is(56.64±18.19). According to the average score, three dimensions was divided into self-improvement, tenacity and optimistic from high to low. The total average score of social support is(39.01±8.00). According to the average score, three dimensions were divided into subjective support, objective support, the utilization of support from high to low.The total average score of working stress is(73.04±14.32). According to the average score, five dimensions was divided into the workload and time allocation, the nursing profession and work, caring patients, working environment and resources, management and interpersonal relationships from high to low.2. What effected resilience included age groups, only-child or not, region, education, job title and work seniority. What effected working stress included age groups, region, education, job title and work seniority. What effected social support included age group, only-child or not, region, job title and work seniority.3.There was significantly negative correlation between resilience and working stress(P < 0.05). There existed significantly positive correlation between resilience and social support(P < 0.05). There was significantly negative correlation between working stress and social support(P<0.05).4. Resilience had partial mediator effects on working stress in terms of subjective support and the utilization of support, that proportion of their mediator effect were 19.00% and 12.18%.Conclusions1. The level of resilience of clinical nurses at a low level, social support and work stress in the middle level. So we should pay attention to the resilience of clinical nurses, improve social support and ease the working stress.2. To implement the resilience training intervention, that according to age, education, job title, work seniority and only-child or not.3. Effective resilience training measures not only can improve the level of resilience and self-regulation, but also strengthen mitigation effect on the working stress of the external social support. So it can resolve the stress and problem, harmonious relationship between doctor and nurse and nurse and patient, improve nursing work efficiency and service quality.
