The projects of periodontal examination included the total number of teeth in the mouth, the missing teeth number and the missing tooth positions, detected the 6 community periodontal index(CPI), attachment loss(AL), probing depth(PD)of 11,16,17,26,27,31,36,37,46,47 in each subject’s mouth teeth and made statistical analysis by using SPSS15.0 software. Results: 1) People who have periodontal health in Mulei County, Xinjiang region account for 43.06%; 2) the average CPI index in patients with periodontal disease is 3.56 and the average AL is 3.40MM; 3) daily brushing frequency distribution of adults in different ages have a significant difference; 4) there is no significant difference between teeth brushing time and frequency and the rate of periodontal health; 5) Serum IL-6 and IL-17 were lower than those in saliva. IL-6 and IL-17 in serum and saliva were increased from mild, moderate to severe cases, with the increase of age. IL 6 and IL-17 in serum and saliva increased in Kazakh group of chronic periodontal disease, compared with Han group in each age group(P <0.05). IL-6 and IL-17 in serum(r = 0.87, P <0.05) and in saliva(r = 0.71, P <0.05) showed good linear relationship. Conclusion: IL-6 and IL-17 in blood and saliva may reflect the severity of periodontal disease. Compared with the Han, Kazak people suffering from severe periodontal disease,IL-6 and IL-17 levels also increased with age. Through the epidemiological surveys found that oral health status in Mulei County, Xinjiang region is poor, oral health care publicity needs to be strengthened in the future work.
