The Investigation And Analysis Of Oral Health Status And Behaviors Of 65-74 Year Olds In Sichuan Province

ObjectivesThe study was to assess the oral health status and oral health behaviors of the 65-74 year olds in Sichuan province in order to provide epidemiologic data for oral health policy-making. MethodsThe study sample comprised 771 residents of 65-74 years in Sichuan province recruited from urban and rural areas through multi-stage stratified sampling. The oral health status was examined for all subjects and 403 of them were interviewed by trained interviewers using a structured questionnaire. ResultsAmong 771 65-74-year-old persons,, the mean DFT score was 3.78, the prevalence rate of decayed/filled teeth was 78.13%.
