Clinical Evaluation About Treating Scapulohumeral Periarthritis In Acute Stage Through Acupuncture Manipulation Named "Tiger Shaking Head"

ObjectivesThe clinical therapeutic effect about treat the patients with Scapulohumeral Periarthritis in acute stage through acupuncture manipulation named "Tiger Shaking Head" has been observed. we are going to find out a more important and practical significance therapeutic method.MethodsRandomly, we divided a total of60Scapulohumeral Periarthritis patients in acute stage into treatment group and control group with30cases each. We took JianYu, JianLiao, JianZhen and JianQian as the main acupoints. The control group patients were treated with electro-acupuncture, while the treatment group patients were given cupuncture manipulation named "Tiger Shaking Head" additionally. Melle scale and VAS scale were observed before and after the treatment to evaluate the therapeutic effect.Result1.No statistics-difference was found between the two groups (treatment group and control group) including the age, the gender, the pattern of syndrome, the course of disease, the score of VAS-scale and Melle-scale before we bigan the treatment(P>0.05).2. After a course of treatment, the treatment group got a cured&significant improved rate of66.67%, and96.67%as the total effective rate,5caseshad been cured,15cases were significant improved,9cases had been improved, while1case had no effect. On the other side, the control group had a cured&significant improved rate of43.33%, and90.00%as the total effect rate:2cases had been cured,11cases were significant improved,14cases had been improved, while3cases took no effect. It meant that two groups had taken a significant difference after the treatment.3. Before the treatment, the evaluations of function and action in two groups were considered as no differences(P>0.05). After taking the treatment, the two groups(treatment group and control group) were both improved, while the effect of the treatment group was much senior than the control group (P<0.05).ConelusionAfter a course of treatment, we can concluse that curing Scapulohumeral Periarthritis in acute stage through acupuncture manipulation named "Tiger Shaking Head" had positive effects. Both of the two groups(treatment group and control group) improved the quality of life at the same time. Besides, the curative effect was superior to the control group.
