Objective:Scapulohumeral periarthritis, so called shoulder wind, frozen shoulder or 50rs'shoulder, is a common disease seen in the middle-aged and old people in the age about 50rs which happened more in woman than man. This research aims to investigate the practical value of the therapeutic regimen of penetrating acupuncture combined with the affected shoulder joint movements so as to ascertain it to be an effective clinical therapeutic method for improving the therapeutic effects, through the analysis of the clinical observational results of acupuncture on treating scapulohumeral periarthritis.Method:Main points selected mainly are Jianyu penetrating to Jiquan, Jianneiling penetrating to Jianwailing, Tiaokou penetrating to Chenshan, combined with Tianzong, Quchi and Hegu. The main points are selected each time combined with the accompany points according to the syndrome differentiation. Concrete application is as follows:(1) First puncture the lower limb points with the 28 model number in length of 4-6 cun on the uninjured side from Tiaokou penetrating to Chenshan, with simultaneous movements of the affected shoulder in adduction, abduction, superduction, etc. Then puncture into Jianyu penetrating to Jiquan, and from Jianneiling to Jianwailing. The manipulation methods are with lifting, thrusting and rotating in great extent mainly for reducing. The accompany points are considered when the effects are not prominent.(2) No need to remain the needles when mainly pain in the early stage is relieved after acupuncture; Remain the needles for 30 minutes when there is adhesion of the tissues in the later stage of the disease. (3) Reducing method is used in the acute stage while mild reinforcing-reducing method is needed in the chronic stage. 30 cases in the treating group were treated by the above method daily, 5 times a week, two weeks a course, and two courses with 2 or 3 days interval. 30 cases in the control group were treated with the method of puncturing in the upper limb without lower limb point and corresponding movements with the same course as the treating group.Observation Targets:(1) Assessment of the therapeutic effects on the shoulder pain; (2) Assessment of the therapeutic effects on the shoulder joint function in abduction, external rotation in the neutral position, movement from the hand to the neck, and movement from the hand to the spine; (3) deltoid muscle; (4) Assessment standard on the comprehensive therapeutic effects.Results:...
