Research On W City Metro Line4Construction Schedule Management

The subway project construction units are numerous, huge investment, long constructionperiod of profound influence on a local or regional. Schedulemanagement in the subwayproject not only affect the whole project construction period, also have a direct influence onthe project investment, project quality andrisk, so the monographic study schedulemanagement in subway constructionproject, has the extremely important practicalsignificance.In this thesis, the No.4civil construction of Metro Line4in City W is taken as anexample for case study. With the guide of theory and methods of project schedulemanagement, the introduction, principles, contents, methods of construction projectmanagement are studied. We study and analyze the progress management through key riskfactors, the progress of the preparation and optimization, and how to protect the controlschedule. We do research on schedule management methods at different stages. From theperspective of system, we try to figure out the scientific and reasonable optimization measuresto construct urban railway.In the first part, we describe the theory and methods of project management and projectschedule management. Then we introduce the No.4civil construction project of Metro Line4in City W. And analysis is conducted on main elements of the project, the engineeringcharacteristics of the construction organization, and key risk factors, through two aspects ofuncontrollable and controllable. Next, WBS decomposition is conducted on this project. Theuse of network planning technology, in particular the critical path method optimize both thepreparation and the allocation of resources. Here, the use of cutting-edge theories related toproject progress control help us identify gaps and analyze the reasons for the gap. Then wecan take appropriate measures to achieve the project dynamic control.
