The subject mainly deals with the high-speed data switching between the Host and the source, and with the pre-processing on the data. The devices/ICs are selected according to the technical terms, and, better the performance the device has, the higher probablity it will be selected. DSP is the important device in digital processing, and palys a great role in this system. TS201 is an excellent float point DSP produced by ADI, and becomes the overwhelming DSP. FPGA also plays an important role, having rich programmable logic resources and inter-connect resources. Stratix II serials FPGA, produced by ALTERA, is selected because of its high-performance.The external signal resources have the band width of 320MB/s and the data width of 16-bit. When designning the schematic, the local bus width is set to 64-bit, then the inner clock is slowed down to 80M. This will assure the system performance credibility. DPRAMs(Dual Port RAMs) are used to buffer the data on the inner bus. Extended 64-bit CPCI bus is used. Also, the SI(signal integrity) is fully considered.After debugging the product, thru the hardware and software method, it can be safely to say that the system requirements are met.The system makes full use of the DSP to configure the FPGA, and this reduces the complexity.
