It is a huge test to the processing ability and input or output speed of the processing unite which is dealing with large computational and high throughput in the array signal processing. The purpose of the project which I undertake is to design a real-time array signal processing platform based on CPCI (Compact PCI) chassis. The content of this paper is to design and realize a high speed digital signal processing card in that platform, which can handle with high speed data and transmit or receive data from other boards in a high speed.First of all, this paper introduces the development of array signal processing, and gives a brief description of high speed digital signal processing ,mass memory storage technology, optical fiber transmission technology and the development of FPGA and DSP.Secondly, the systerm design as well as the solutions of high speed digital signal processing is given on the lessons of experiences。The way to realize high speed digital signal processing by multi_DSP;the way to enlarge the store capability and config the FPGA;the way to realize high speed transmit on board,and by this mean each channel's highest speed is 500MB/s ;the way to transmit the signals between boards,and by this mean each channel's highest speed is 150MB/s,which are given。There are two fiber interfaces on the card, each one's speed can reach 3.75Gb/s, which can serve as auxiliary transmission channel.Then, description is given in respect of circuit board design。The necessary instructions in respect of schematic and PCB to design,of very detail to do,of Linkport interface to design; of optical fiber interface to design;of PCI interface to design;of every part layout to lay and take good care of,which are also described。Finally, this paper designs the hardware and debugs the interface programme and does some exploration of interface programme guided by software engineering ideas and shows some test results debugging in a particular environment。This paper designs and realizes a high-performance signal processing CPCI card and by which can communicate with the main board,and cooperate with some software in operation system and the storing card, can constitute a general signal processing platform.
