People’s improving living standards and rapid development of social economy makepeople constantly proposed new requirements on the quality of life, health care, health carelevels. The accelerated life pace, the relative shrinking workforce and growing socialphenomenon of population aging make a lot of family life harder. There is no time, no ability tohire the appropriate nursing care for the elderly. Unfortunately, poor health conditions,incomplete medical facilities also brought trouble to families, the old people and the health careworkers.This paper presents a solution of remote monitoring ward environment acquisition systemby ZigBee technology depended on the above background. Used in hospitals, rehabilitationcenters, community, family and other places with Large population, the design can not onlycollect real-time environmental parameters, and can understand the situation by phone ornetwork, fully meets the monitoring need. This paper does analysis and research on remotemonitoring ward acquisition environment system based on ZigBee technology mainly fromhardware and software:(1)The hardware circuit includes master controller circuit and a system interface circuit.The core of the master controller circuit is a8-bit microcontroller PIC18F87K22, whoseprimarily responsible are data processing and communications for each parts. The systeminterface circuit is mainly GSM communication circuit and ZigBee circuit. The core module ofthe GSM communications circuit is M20module that has high reliability, strong robustnesswhile sending and receiving SMS.What’s more, it can send message when necessary and allowchecking the situation by mobile phone. The core module of the ZigBee router communicationcircuit is the HAC-LBee module which is based on the ZigBee protocol and strong resistance tointerference. Its main function is to realize remote wireless communication of data between thedata acquisition board circuit and the master controller.(2)The system used the high readability and fiexibility C language to program that is easyto learn. The system used modular programming, PIC microcontroller programming software theMPLAB IDE V8.6.3and ICD3emulator. The MPLAB IDE V8.6.3has a friendly interface and isfull-featured, while the ICD3emulator has facilitate interface, can be simulating and debuggingof software online, which make it easy to modify and upgrade the programim.(3)PIC18F87K22provides a1M-bit enhanced flash microcontrollers and two enhanceduniversal synchronous asynchronous receiver transmitter EUSART, has32KB to128KBapplication code space,16-bit instruction bus,12-bit A/D converter, supports SPI serialcommunication and IIC serial communication. It costs low energy consumption and is of high efficiency.(4)ZigBee is a wireless network transmission technology which can be customized network,and low power, low cost, high capacity, simple, fast, safe, reliable and unlicensed band. ZigBeetechnology is suitable for occasions that are small amount of data transmission, multi-node,small-scale distribution but have certain demands of data transmission safe and reliable.(5)GPRS-DTU uses industrial grade embedded processors and is embedded with TCP/IPprotocol stack. Its transmission speeds is between10kbps and60kbps, which is stable andreliable, and can communicate from distant places.
