In recent years, as investment in infrastructure continues to increase in china, large bridges, railways and steel towers are building everywhere. which brings greatly convenient to public life. However, as rapid economic development in these years, lots of infrastructure often in a state of overload, and some early design of the infrastructure do not have the current carrying capacity coupled with the state of recent natural disasters happen more than ever, which is easy to become disaster. Once security incidents take place in some of these facilities, not only major economic loss will be gone, but also serious harm will be brought to people's lives. Therefore it is particularly important to monitor these facilities and get data information from them.Based on this study, a set of embedded wireless monitoring and data acquisition system is developed in this subject. One character of this system is real-time monitoring of structure status of bridges, buildings, railways, towers and also other environmental information, which is helpful for determining their healthy status. The main parts of the system are data acquisition unit, data processing unit and remote monitoring center. Zigbee technology is used as the way of communication between data acquisition unit and data processing unit and GPRS or ethernet technology is used as the way of communication between remote monitoring center and data processing unit. The main functions of data processing unit are real-time data processing, data storage and waveform displaying. The function of remote monitoring center is to simultaneously connect with multiple data processing units and control all or any of the data processing unit to realize monitoring all objects'security at any time.This system has a good versatility and usability. The system can monitor different information by changing the sensors of data acquisition unit. And it is easy to increase the system's suitability and viability by changing the way of connecting networking between data processing unit and data acquisition unit, which will lay a solid foundation for widely used in the future.
