This thesis is a study which reduces research costs of the existing high powerlinear variable frequency power supply, simplifies the circuit structure of the highpower linear variable frequency power supply, and makes it easy to maintain.Its coreis high power amplifier, and the signal generator and intelligent detection circuit arethe auxiliary module of the high power linear variable frequency power supply, it canalso be called arbitrary waveform power supply. This power’s output waveform areconsistent with the signals produced by signal generator, and have high stability andlow noise and low ripple. The power has high output power. Because the high poweramplifier is at the heart of the high power linear variable frequency power supply, theperformance of variable frequency power supply is determined by the high poweramplifier, therefore, the high power amplifier of our research is the point significance.Power amplifier as radio communications, navigation, radar and electroniccountermeasures such as one of the key components of electronic system in nowadays,has been widely used in civil and military fields. But with the continuousdevelopment of industry, the existing power amplifier have already can’t meet theneeds of present and future industrial development in the factors of development andmaintenance costs and strength of the output current and voltage amplification. So thenew type of high power amplifier of make and maintenance cost is lower, voltageamplification and output current is bigger, is the urgent need.The research of this project probes into the high power amplifier being similar tothe AB amplifier, the high power amplifier has higher output voltage and greatercurrent and wider bandwidth and more stable waveform and loaded capability.According to project requirements, to further improve and perfect the circuit’sstructure and parameters, our use the Cadence of a circuit simulation software to makean early simulation of power amplifier circuit. The last part of the article is to theactual circuit debugging and offers an introduction to thefunction of each component of the power amplifier circuit and solves problems our encounter in debugging the power amplifier circuit.
