As the society develops, human resource management with information technology play a more and more important role, and improving the efficiency of human resource will contribute to improve the company’s overall competitiveness. Therefore, the percentage of the capital input for the human resource increases and the human resource system is becoming perfected. In this paper, we design and implement a J2EE-based human resources management system human resources management system for small and medium enterprises. The system function modules implemented are:user login query module, the user basic information management module, wage management module, employee attendance management module, training program management module, background system maintenance management module. Some mainstream techniques are used in this system. In the presentation tier, Struts framework is used to achieve the separation performance of the business, reducing the coupling. In the business logic tier, the Java Bean component technology is used to receive data from the presentation tier, process it, and then send it to the database storage. And it also allows retrieving data from the database, then send it to the presentation tier. In the persistence tier, Hibernate framework technology is used, which not only provides data from the Java class to map between tables, but also provides data query and recovery mechanisms. Not like using JDBC and SQL to manually operate the database, Hibernate can greatly reduce the workload of the database operation. In order to improve the user experience and the speed to access the web pages, Ajax technology is applied in the system. This paper, firstly, researches the background, purpose and significance of the human resource system in an enterprise. Secondly, it gives a detailed description of the J2EE-related technologies, such as, Struts and Hibernate. Thirdly, it develops a J2EE-based human resource system following the processes of software development. At last, the factors that may affect the performance are analyzed and some suggestions are given.
