Project-based Learning is popularized in the field of higher vocational education becauseof the feature that it adapts to the field, especially in science research and promoting, and ingeneral, implementation of Project-based Learning for engineering is completed by practice.However, the traditional teaching methods only focus on imparting knowledge; it’s verydifficult for students to improve practical ability and the ability to solve practical problems.The lack of occupational abilities directly influences the employment. In this paper, in view ofproblems existed in current situation of higher vocational computer courses and actualsituation of higher vocational students, the theory and practice of Project-based Learning wasapplied to the teaching of computer courses on the basis of previous research, and hadalready gotten some effects. Literature review method, case study method, interview methodand questionnaire survey method were used. There’re seven parts in the paper.The introduction describes the motivation and significance of the research, presents theresearch method of this paper and defines related concepts.The first chapter discusses the origin, development and theory basis of Project-basedLearning, and provides the theoretical guide for the Project-based Learning.The second chapter studies the characteristics of the Project-based Learning, andcompares it with the traditional teaching method, especially emphasizes the goal ofProject-based Learning.The third chapter studies the basic requirements of "Project-based Learning" in highervocational computer courses, including design principle of teaching, the role of teachers andstudents, and the specification of the project results.The fourth chapter studies the implementation of " Project-based Learning " in highervocational computer courses, including comprehensive planning and management strategies,the use of varieties of teaching methods,the configuration and development of resources, theimplementation of case and the problems exits in the implementation.The fifth chapter describes the teaching evaluation of "Project-based Learning” in highervocational computer courses, and reflects on the research.Conclusion: Summarizes the research work and draws conclusions. Conclusions:1. Project-based Learning is suitable for the theory and practice of the teaching of computercourse in higher vocational colleges.2. The application of Project-based Learning can take thestudents as the main body and improve students’ learning initiative.3. The application ofProject-based Learning can achieve a good connection of theory and practice of computercourse in higher vocational colleges.4. The application of Project-based Learning canimprove the comprehensive vocational ability of students. Students will master the relatedwork skills after graduation. In the mean while, the inadequacy of the research and trend ofresearch is pointed out.
