During the Twelfth Five-Year Guideline,China is developing highervocational education and deepening the Educational Teaching Reformwith particular efforts. What <National education reform anddevelopment of long-term planning programs(2010-2020)> madeclear the development task of China’s vocational education is toculture students ’ capacity to collect and process information,theability to acquire new knowledge,analysis and problem-solving skills,as well as exchange collaboration capabilities. It services proffergood growth opportunities for the higher vocational education inChina,as well as provides new challenges of education reforming thecourse <Computer Public Basic>. One of the teaching goals of thiscourse,which is consist to the development goal of higher vocationaleducation, is to focus on cultivating the students’ informationliteracy,improving students’ ability to collect and process information.However,the teaching methods of this course are too old to get full development and adapt to the demand of the society, it is imperativeto reform education idea and education activities. This study focuseson higher vocational colleges, attempts PBL (Problem-BasedLearning) teaching mode applied in the teaching of the course<Computer Public Basic>. The aim of this study is to provide guidingsignificance for higher vocational school education through applyingPBL mode to the course <Computer Public Basic>.This study firstly established the research aim through analyzingthe need to apply of PBL teaching pattern in the course <ComputerPublic Basic>. This study also designed PBL teaching process basedon the concept and the theory of PBL mode and combined with thecharacteristics of the course <Computer Public Basic>. In this study,we listed three cases of teaching design in the course <ComputerPublic Basic>,selected case study from the students of class1&2,who majored in Computer Application Technology in ShanxiManagement Vocational College,conducted one year PBL teachingexperimental research. We analyzed the data and the results usinghorizontal diversities,including single factor experiments,double theoverall Z test statistics and the feedback from the questionnaire. Wedemonstrated that PBL teaching mode can effectively give full play tostudents in the course of teaching and inspire the Students’development in multi-abilities. In conclusion,the implementation of the PBL teaching mode willimprove students’ learning interest,attendance records,learningattitude and study habits; the implementation of the PBL learningmode will improve the students’ abilities of problem-solving; inaddition,the group cooperation learning will help students improvecommunication skills,cooperation skills,the ability to collect andprocess information.
