With the rapid development of computer technology today, all walks of life are inseparable from the computer. Along with computer popularization, computerized personnel information management in the institutions has become a kind of inevitable trend. For institutions, the high efficiency of personnel management is imperative, and the computer information management is necessary to achieve this goal. Computer management has many irreplaceable advantages:high reliability, efficient retrieval, query speed, large storage, low cost, long service life and so on. These advantages help business personnel management standardized, efficient and to keep up with the world development trend. Each business unit has its own personnel management system, so developing the corresponding personnel management information system is necessary.There are many disadvantages in traditional manual management of personnel information, such as poor information confidentiality and low working efficiency. As the work time moving, computer will produce large amounts of data and files, which bring great inconvenience to the daily work. Especially for large and medium-sized institutions, which have large personnel information of employees, have higher requirements in searching, protecting and updating data. Developing personnel management information system can meet the demand for personnel management of institutions, and also provide abundant information resources and a fast query platform to enterprise managers.Based on the investigation of personnel management in my current work unit, the paper finds out the problems existing in the personnel management system, and collect the demand information of each department in personnel management work. On this basis, through a detailed analysis of system requirements, the paper established the main functions of the system and implementation scheme. The system uses B/S three layer structure mode, successfully realized the business execution and data separate operation, and ensured the efficiency and stability in the process of system. It ensures the security of the system by using rights management and database connection pool technology.System runs on the. NET platform which using ASP.NET language for program developing. It combined with SQL SERVER database technology and achieves personnel management, payroll management, attendance management and incentive management functions. The paper highlighted the following functions implementation:(1).Creating a network-based, integrated information platform. The staff at all levels in the unit can complete their required work within their respective competencies in the same platform. It achieves information sharing, and makes information management and exchanging easy.(2).It makes the employee profile information, wages and assessment information, attendance information transparent on the platform, which meets the requirements of employees and managers.(3).It completes various personnel management operations in a unified platform, which avoids information not shared, message collisions and other defects.(4).By using the server database connection pool technology, the system makes various businesses smoothly and fast handled, efficiently avoids system processing delay and long waiting time happened when the large amount of data accessing.(5).Through the strict rights management, the systems constraints different levels of users to use system functions, which ensures data security.(6).Providing charting data analysis and data statistics, which assists the managers to make decisions.The paper focuses on point (4) and (5):database connection pool technology and the realization of the rights management. These points guarantee the security of the system.The system test demonstrates the accuracy and stability of the system, and meets the requirements of users. From users’ feedback, the new system improves work efficiency and reduces management workload.
