With the development of information technology, agricultural informatization is the inevitable trend of the development of modern agricultural. In recent years, our country has made some achievements in agriculture information, agriculture automation and intelligent agriculture, but also have some problems, for example the remote data collection and transmission of the agricultural production environment meteorological elements. As the characteristics of distribution for the agriculture in our county and the environment is relatively complex and farmland remote data acquisition are relatively backward, so the information acquisition and transmission cannot be used quickly and efficiently, information delay seriously restrict the development of modern precision agriculture.Based on the problems of remote information collection and transmission in precision agriculture, our contribution was to combine embedded technology and GPRS wireless data transmission technology to solve the problem of remote data acquisition. The paper proposed a remote wireless data acquisition system based on AVR to observation and the control meteorological elements in greenhouse. Using AVR mcu to collection the various farm meteorological elements regular, utilization GPRS wireless data transmission to realize the transmission between the acquisition terminal and data monitoring center real-time.The remote wireless data acquisition system based on AVR contains three parts: upper computer, lower computer and video data terminal. Upper computer is center station which is control the whole command center, as receive the data from data acquisition terminal and send commands to control the remote collection terminal, process and analysis the data received and storage it for later use. Lower computer is data acquisition center; integrate various meteorological elements collector using embedded technology, such as air temperature, air humidity, photosynthetically active radiation, plant canopy temperature, surface temperature, layers of the soil temperature and so on. To facilitate installation packaged the various elements collector together. Video data terminal contains two ways:LCD and Web. Utilize LCD can see the data any time on the spot, it also can regular the system metrics. In addition to view the data directly in the field, the user can also use Web site to see the data in the field at anytime and anywhere.The transmission between central station and data acquisition terminal all use GPRS wireless communication; get rid of the trouble of wire transmission. After the actual installation and application, practice has proved that the remote wireless data acquisition system we proposed based on AVR and GPRS goes well, high stability and high real-time. System has practical application value and higher economic benefit.
