With the development of communication technology, more and more industries begin take wireless communication system as data transmission. Formerly, people had to gather data by themselves in the remote mines or oil fields because the terrain was too inconvenient to span lineate networks. After the appearance of GPRS service, the cost can be reduced consumedly since the service charges cheaply(0.03yuan/kbits). Therefore, the data communication system based on GPRS becomes a perfect data transmission way. In this paper, author studies and analyses principium of the system and how to make it safer, and then propose the way to realize it. Data traffic solution and structure of Automatic Hydrology Monitor System were comprehensively analysed, compared and summarized according to managed system and reality, and then a suitable Auto-registered system solution for practicable application were brought forward.There are very few kinds of homemade hydrology monitor controllers and the foreign products are too expensive, and for the purpose of homemade monitor controllers, the development of monitor controllers with high cost performance is of great benefit to hydrology monitor. Embedded system technology is popular for the present, and is being widely used in the fields of industrial control, wireless communication, network applications, consumptive electronic products, image processing, security, etc. As the development of GPRS technology, it has been applied in the fields of industry, control and so on, and it will definitely be even more widely used in future. With the progress of technology, it is a necessary and useful job to apply embedded system and GPRS technology in hydrology monitoring controller.The whole system consists of the portable signal collection terminals and a monitoring center. And the signal collection terminal consists of a hydrology signal collection module, the module has functions such as the collection,filter and A/D transfer of the signals, and transfers the data to the monitoring center. In the center, the governors supervise the signals in real-time mode. In order to guarantee the correction of the signal during the transmission, we use the socket communication based on the TCP protocol. The monitoring center has the function to display and save the signal, the governor can use it to find, delete, review and print the hydrology signal conveniently. Through actual testing, the system is expected to achieve a satisfactory result.
