Remote data transmission system is a new data transmission system whichis based on embedded technology and combined with mobile communicationtechnology. In recent years, with the rapid development of mobilecommunication technology and constantly improving of the technology whichengineering machinery vehicle electrical control system used, application ofmobile communication technology in engineering vehicle real-time informationcollection and transmission is increasing. Especially with the continualdevelopment and perfection of the GPRS technology, the remote datatransmission becomes more flexible and convenient.This paper first briefly introduced the present developing situation and theinadequacies of mobile communication technology, then according to the actualapplication requirements that the engineering machinery vehicle use mobilecommunication technology in data transmission, and finally designed a remotedata transmission system which based on GPRS technology. This system setcomputer technology, network technology and mobile communicationtechnology as a whole, and is mainly composed of three parts that includetransmission terminal, communication network and data center. Thetransmission terminal connects with data center through the GPRS and Internetnetwork, and realizes bidirectional data transmission at the same time. We tookC8051F040as the core controller of transmission terminal, combined with theGPRS communication module, GPS module, CAN interface module, and thendesigned the hardware, and programmed in the software environment to realizereal time condition of crane and the geographic location information acquisition,and implementation communication with data center. The data center use onePC machine that has accessed to Internet and has a fixed IP as a server to realizefunctions which include receive real-time information from transmissionterminal and issued corresponding instruction signal to the transmissionterminal.Finally, we tested and debugged the hardware circuit and software program repeatedly, and then realized system integrated. Each module's function of thesystem's and the whole system's performance is tested. Verified by experiment,the system runs normally and response rapidly and the wireless datatransmission is real-time and effective.
