For most of the data acquisition and transmission applications, the cable network can meet the needs of data transmission. However, in certain production sectors and areas, you need to collect data from geographically widely distributed field points, the using of existing cable transmission is restricted in these areas, to set up communication lines alone is undesirable in the technical and economic benefits. Compared with wired data transmission, wireless data transmission is restricted slightly by topography and environment,easy to expand and the economic costs of its application is low,can better meet data collection needs of the data collection points distributed in field.For the data collecttion from geographically widely distributed field points, on the basis of studying the structure and principles of the GPRS network and the requirements of the data acquisition system, propose a ARM core S3C2410X and the GPRS network based data collection and transmission system.Study a variety of wireless transfer method, select the GPRS network as the transmission channel. Using GPRS network to transfer data based on the GSM public network can not only meet the needs of the vast majority of data transmission, and also can meet the timely transmission of data in real time.The basic idea is that, firstly the embedded system Collect and format the data,then transmit the data through the GPRS terminal and access Internet network through the GPRS network, to achieve the data transmission between data terminal and data center. In order to guarantee powerful processing capabilities and the stability of the system, take S3C2410X based on the ARM architecture as the core of the system hardware, and introduce embedded operating system μC/OS-II.After determining the Hardware and software overall program of the data collection and transmission system, in-depthly study the ARM programming model and μC/OS-II architecture.Basing on the study, complete hardware and software design.Hardware design use S3C2410X as the core, Contains S3C2410X core board module, A/D module, GPRS module, power module, storage systems, real-time clock. Complete hardware design and draw the corresponding schematic.Completed μC/OS-II transplantation and the programming of the application software for data acquisition and transfer tasks, including the A/D data collection procedures, GPRS data transmission procedures and FLASH drive software. Realized to ensure GPRS always online.This embedded data collection and transmission system has abundant hardware interface and flexible software resources configuration. The design has good versatility and scalability.
