In China, homosexuality has a history of thousands of years. However, in thenation that emphasizes men and women to reconcile and fertility, gay and lesbian hasbeen as a group is not accepted by mainstream society. They are drifting on the fringesof society for a long time and under tremendous pressure. Since the1990s, boom ofthe Internet changed people s way of life and the whole society form, and at the sametime it also bring revolutionary change to gays and lesbians. As the representative ofthe Internet new media technology, blogs bring the homosexual individuals scatteringin cyberspace together and offer them new self-expression and interaction spacedifferent from reality space. Blog s structural characteristics of anonymity,interactivity and openness offers a moist soil and a brand new field for the formationand propagation of gay and lesbian subculture. Under this macro-background, thisthesis focuses on homosexual blog in a completely new method.This thesis holds the opinion that homosexual blog are the bl ogs that takeshomosexuality and related subjects as the main content, not only including gays andlesbians as the author of the blog, but also include some heterosexual blogs that takehomosexual topics as the main focus and content. According to the blogger s sexualidentity, homosexual blog can be divided to three categories: the bloggers are gays andlesbians; the bloggers are heterosexuals who focus on homosexuality; homosexualsocial work organization blog. For homosexual group, homosexual blog is aninformation communication platform, social communication platform, group formationplatform and rights demand platform.Through carrying out text analysis on the homosexual blogs with awareness andrepresentative, combined with sociology, anthropology, communication researchresults and relevant knowledge, under the theoretical perspective of subculture, thisthesis descrives and analyzes the homosexual subculture appeared in homosexual blogsform the four dimensions of identity recognition and public, emot ion and marriage,social communication, gay and lesbian rights movement, and draws some conclusions.This study finds that the homosexual subculture is manifested as unique culturalpsychology, behavior and language/symbols, and it is not once formed and fixed, and itpresents different phenomena and characteristics along with society s development. Inhomosexual blogs, every gay and lesbian molds the homosexual subculture beingdifferent form mainstream culture through their thought and action. On the othe r hand,the homosexual subculture influence homosexuals, to give them sense of belongingand honor.
